Tell me not how beautiful she is,
I will not be able to bear;
The thought of that faraway bliss,
Of a maiden lovely and fair.

Battles with her eyes I always lose,
She makes me deaf, mute and blind –
Bathed with nectar and crafted with love,
To eclipse the rest of her kind.
